City of Symluna
Prompt: gold, silver, coral, pearl, crystal, lapis lazuli, agate
The city of Symluna is shocking the first time you see it, as every elvish city from Era One is.
The first thing you notice is the gold tipped towers, visible from miles away, it is only when you get much closer that you realize that the city is surrounded by a coral reef, teeming with life both intelligent and not. It is only when you are looking for it that the cliff wall you are walking along reveals that it is pure gemstone – pure red agate in layers and layers of polished shades.
The gates of the city are pure crystal, delicate and fragile and decorative, the brilliant blue of lapis lazuli holds a prominent place in the intricate piece.
You don’t realize until you reach the palace that the bulk of the building that occupies most of the city isn’t stone but a pure silver extending to the reef where the local mer-people are trading some of the largest pearls you have ever seen.
Symluna is a sight no one ever gets used to but what did you expect from a city from a time of peace and wealth?
